Resonance has eight required Blades: Rusty Sword, Falchion, Kopis, Greek Sword, Sica, Khopesh, Broken Spear, and Xiphos. Find all eight for Plunderer, then equip every one and score a kill for Adaptable. The extra Hero's Blade from the pre-order pack is not needed for either trophy or achievement.

Blade checklist

BladeChapterHow it is obtained
Rusty Sword1 — Blood TiesAutomatic at the start
Falchion2 — FelonsAutomatic during the carnival route
Kopis4 — From Hell It RoseTomb after the First Trial spike sequence
Greek Sword5 — Desolation It WroughtOptional axe-hatch tomb
Sica6 — What Lies BeneathOptional bull-pillar tomb
Khopesh7 — Death It SowedOptional battlefield bull-pillar tomb
Broken Spear9 — Night Has ComeOpen tomb during the creature pursuit
Xiphos10 — Parallel PathsOptional coastal bull-pillar tomb

All eight standard Blades can be recovered through Chapter Select. That makes them safe for post-story cleanup, unlike Resonance Points. Still, finding each on the first run is useful because hidden tombs often contain an optional route that is easier to recognise while the chapter is fresh in memory.

Chapters 1 and 2: the automatic Blades

Sophia begins Chapter 1 with the Rusty Sword, so it counts as soon as the opening missions start. In Chapter 2, follow the carnival route until Sophia separates from Leni, then interact with the barrel near the boat to receive the Falchion. If you own the Heritage Pack, the Hero's Blade appears at the same time, but it remains a bonus rather than a ninth requirement.

These two items are not detours, but they still matter for Adaptable. Open Sophia's equipment menu after you have a safe combat encounter, equip the Rusty Sword or Falchion, and ensure you land one kill with each. A collection total alone does not prove the weapon-specific kill condition is complete.

Chapter 4: Kopis

The Kopis sits on the main Trial route after the spike-trap rooms. Once Leni reveals the safe path with her mirror and Sophia escapes the collapsing spikes, squeeze through the narrow opening and interact with the skull pedestal. It opens a route down into a tomb, where the large chest contains the Blade.

This is one of the easier tombs to miss because the chapter immediately returns to progression after the spikes. Take the chest before crawling through the gap behind it. The Chapter 4 walkthrough covers the preceding spike path and the Trial exits that make this detour easier to identify.

Chapter 5: Greek Sword

The Greek Sword hides during The Four Symbols while looking for the second symbol. From the central hub, use the route marked by the round sign with three lines, cross the broken bridge, and take the left branch to the plunderer's camp rather than continuing to the ox-head door. Climb to the eye-marked position, line up green first and then the other coloured beams with their matching gems, and drop through the opened axe hatch.

This is a full optional tomb rather than a story reward. It counts toward Plunderer immediately when the chest opens, but equip it later for the Adaptable kill. The Greek Sword tomb guide gives the route and three-colour alignment in more detail.

Chapter 6: Sica

During The Architect, after the cutscene near the petrified figure on the cliff, turn right and pass through the first green gate into a dark corridor. Take the small tunnel on the left to reach a bull-pillar room with light platforms. Jump onto the first lit platform on the left, then use the Sphere to route green below the bull pillar, blue beneath Sophia's pillar, and red to the rear-right reflector.

When the three colours line up, the tomb opens. Go inside and open the chest for the Sica. If the colours look correct but the route does not react, check the red beam's reflection from the rear mirror rather than moving the green or blue target again.

Chapter 7: Khopesh

Look for the Khopesh in The Whole Damn Army while heading toward the Black Temple. After a dark underground stretch, Sophia crawls through a tight opening and arrives in a broad battlefield. Turn left as you leave the underground route and approach the giant skull to find the bull pillar.

Stand slightly to the side of the plate, align the three Sphere lights with the pillar's targets, and enter the tomb that opens. The chapter contains several main-route light puzzles, so this optional pillar is easy to walk past while following the Black Temple objective. Use the Chapter 7 walkthrough for the surrounding route and collection reminders.

Chapter 9: Broken Spear

The Broken Spear appears in the Hunted section while the creature is stalking Sophia. As the section begins, a man runs toward Sophia and is taken by the creature; immediately turn left, take the leftmost route, and climb the ledge to the bull pillar. The tomb is already open, so descend into the chamber and take the weapon from the chest.

Move deliberately instead of searching every path while exposed. The landmark is the early attack and the immediate left turn, not a later open space in the pursuit. If you miss it, Chapter Select is safer than replaying the entire chase in a completion-focused first run.

Chapter 10: Xiphos

In In the Plunderers' Wake, go to the far right corner from the subchapter's start and enter the cave near the high water. Use the Grapnel to climb to the bull statue, break the nearby vases to reveal the blue gem, and activate the pedestal. From the right-side light platform, set red to the left, green to the middle, and blue to the revealed right-side gem.

The crypt opens in front of the pedestal. Drop down and open the chest for the Xiphos. This is the final required Blade, so a complete eight-Blade counter should unlock Plunderer when every earlier weapon has also registered.

Plunderer versus Adaptable

Plunderer only requires finding the eight standard Blades. Adaptable is a separate task: each Blade must make at least one kill. After the story, select a combat checkpoint with ordinary enemies, equip one Blade, secure a kill, and cycle to the next until every weapon has been used.

Do not include the pre-order Hero's Blade in that checklist. It can be equipped and enjoyed, but it is not required for either standard completion target. The trophy roadmap has the broader cleanup order, including why you should secure Resonance Points before beginning Chapter Select runs.

Use the collectibles checklist for chapter totals and the trophy roadmap for Plunderer, Adaptable, and other cleanup. The Resonance Points guide explains the category that cannot be fixed by a replay. Blade locations and the Hero's Blade exception were reviewed against the launch build on September 10, 2026.
