Resonance Chapter 10 Walkthrough

Clear Resonance Chapter 10 with the mast route, symbol cave, Mountain Temple gemstone solution, Xiphos tomb, Theseus trial and Light Concentrate.

On this page+

To clear Chapter 10, align the two rightmost masts beside the wooden cross, follow the discovered rope, use Sophia's notebook arrows through the cave, then set the Mountain Temple gems to red/up arrow, green/serpent, and blue/combined “LE.” Inside Daedalus' workshop, complete the Theseus light trial, claim Light Concentrate from the Sphere socket, and use it to burn through the petrified ash blocking the exit.

Chapter 10, Parallel Paths, contains one Blade, four Artefacts, three Charms, and 25 Resonance Points. The normal collectibles are safe to recover with Chapter Select; Resonance Points are not a reliable post-story cleanup category, so collect visible white glints and make sure they survive to a checkpoint during the first run.

Reach the Mountain Temple

Follow Faro until the chapter opens onto a view of the mountain temple and the storm behind it. Once Sophia takes the lead, follow the cliff path and squeeze through the gap. Before climbing the next ladder, check the narrow opening on its right for Artefact #27, Sun Dial.

Climb the ladder and scaffolding to the entrance. The confrontation here leads into a soldier encounter with Faro. Use kicks to break shield guards, keep mobile when ranged enemies have a clear lane, and avoid being boxed against the edge. When the fight ends, the sealed route forces Sophia to use the alternate path recorded in her notebook.

Find the mast and hidden rope

Open Sophia's notebook before searching blindly. One page shows the mast alignment that reveals the rope direction; the following page pairs cave symbols with arrows for the maze that comes later.

Follow the river until you find a wooden cross draped with cloth standing in the water. Stand next to it and look toward the masts protruding from the ground. Move until the two rightmost masts overlap into a triangle at their tops. Through that alignment, a distant rock marked by three white dots becomes visible.

Walk to the three-dot rock and take the nearby Resonance Point. The rope lies on the ground close to that marker; follow it rather than continuing along the river. It enters a cave with two ladders and then a zipline.

Forest collectibles before the cave

The wide forest contains two easy-to-miss pickups before the symbol maze:

  • Artefact #28, Terra Incognita: stay along the forest's far-right boundary after the downhill slide; the book rests between broken pots.
  • Charm #24, Beads 5: continue along the right side until a small stream meets the river; the chest glints beside the water.

After following the rope, climbing, and taking the zipline, search the second tent on the right of the abandoned camp for Charm #25, Trinket 4.

Cross the symbol cave

The cave is a navigation puzzle, not a code you enter. At each junction, look for a painted wall symbol that also appears in Sophia's notebook. The arrow drawn beside that symbol tells you which direction to take from that junction.

Reopen the notebook whenever two tunnels look similar; do not try to remember the entire chain from the entrance. A correct choice leads to another readable symbol, while a loop or unmarked dead end means the previous direction was wrong. Following the notebook one junction at a time eventually returns Sophia outdoors.

At the start of In the Plunderers' Wake, search the far-right waterline for Artefact #29, Thakourth Ball before working on the temple light route.

Get the Xiphos Blade before opening the door

From the outdoor temple area, move to the far-right corner and enter the high cave beside the water. Grapnel upward to the bull monument, then break the nearby pots to expose the blue target gem.

Activate the pedestal and move to the light platform on the right. Set the three colours so red points left, green points to the middle, and blue reaches the revealed target on the right. The tomb opens in front of the pedestal. Drop inside and take Xiphos, the eighth and final standard Blade if the earlier seven are already registered.

This detour is optional for story progress. If the temple puzzle is your only goal, you can leave it for Chapter Select, but Xiphos and the nearby Resonance Points make it efficient to finish now.

Reveal all six Mountain Temple stelae

The main door puzzle has two stages: expose six hidden symbols, then use the weapon statues above the door to map three of them to coloured gemstones.

  1. Use Light Reveal on the stela beside the main door to expose the upward arrow.
  2. Three stelae already stand in usable light around the courtyard. Reveal each and let Sophia record it in the notebook.
  3. Enter the cave beneath the waterfall on the right. Switch on its lantern and move it until the beam passes through the first lens.
  4. Move that lens to the right so it lights the second lens and the fourth relevant stela.
  5. Turn the second lens slightly left to send the beam toward the distant third lens and another stela.
  6. Clear the soldiers who arrive, then use the large pedestal in front of the temple so Faro can reach the upper light control.
  7. Move right of the pedestal and wait for Faro to redirect the beam. Reveal the final stela in that light.

If Sophia does not add a symbol to the notebook, the stela is not fully illuminated. Adjust the previous lens instead of repeatedly using the Sphere on a dark surface.

Mountain Temple gemstone door solution

The three warriors above the door show which weapon belongs to which symbol. Their gem colours are fixed:

Warrior weaponStela symbolGem colour
BowUpward arrowRed
SwordSerpentGreen
SpearCombined L/E-like symbolBlue

Use the three floor pedestals to place red on the upward arrow, green on the serpent, and blue on the combined L/E symbol. Then position the Sphere's Splitting Light so all three gemstones receive their matching colour. The temple door opens when the three routes are simultaneously correct.

The common mistake is matching colours to the order in which symbols were discovered. The statues—not discovery order—define the solution. If two beams look correct but the door stays shut, inspect the third gem's final symbol rather than rotating every pedestal again.

Explore Daedalus' workshop

Enter the temple and use Daedalus' Key on the next door. In the workshop, go left and climb to the lantern. Turn it on and slide it right; its light clears the petrified ash from the doorway and continues through a lens.

Before interacting with the story lens, sweep the lower workshop:

  • Artefact #30, Impossible Mechanism: descend, cross the right-hand bridge, and check its right corner.
  • Charm #26, Pierced Coin 5: from the visible Resonance Point, turn to the lens suspended by chains. Jump onto it and Grapnel the wall mechanism to drop a weight, then return upstairs and enter the tomb it opened.

Using the main lens triggers a vision and transfers control to Theseus/Ariadne.

Complete the Theseus test Trial

Follow Daedalus downstairs. The creature cannot be defeated through normal attacks; every phase teaches the light pattern Sophia will later use.

  1. Aim a lantern into the creature's mouth to force it back.
  2. Direct light at the revealed medallion to raise the next platforms.
  3. Move across only after the breath passes; cover and timing matter more than speed.
  4. Use light to seal the active pipes, then redirect the next reflector or medallion.
  5. Repeat the push-back and platform sequence as the creature changes position.

The path is linear, and Ariadne or Daedalus calls out the next mechanism. If progression stops, scan for a newly exposed medallion or a pipe still releasing the creature's breath. Near the end, the Trial introduces Light Concentrate, a focused beam able to damage the creature and destroy petrified ash.

When the creature breaks free, stop trying to solve the room. Sprint, jump the gaps, and reach the exit platform. The collapsing sequence returns control to Sophia.

Claim Light Concentrate and leave the workshop

The memory demonstrated the power, but Sophia still has to unlock it from the Sphere socket below. Move right across the wooden platforms and use the Grapnel promptly when the route begins to collapse. Faro controls a lens from the other side of the gap; wait for him to clear each ash barrier instead of jumping into the blocked route.

At the first reflector, have Faro send light into it, then aim it through the ash toward the second reflector slightly left of his position. Move to the second reflector and clear the ash between Sophia and the socket. Interact with the socket to add Light Concentrate permanently to the Sphere.

Use the new focused beam on the ash ahead. Activate the nearby pedestal to raise the platform, take the elevator back to Faro, and leave the chamber. In the next corridor, the left doorway is sealed by petrified ash; stand in the sunlight, hold Light Concentrate on the blockage until it clears, climb the stairs, and walk into the light to finish Chapter 10.

Chapter 10 collectible check

Before leaving, Chapter Select should eventually show 1 Blade, 4 Artefacts, and 3 Charms:

  • Artefacts: Sun Dial, Terra Incognita, Thakourth Ball, Impossible Mechanism.
  • Charms: Beads 5, Trinket 4, Pierced Coin 5.
  • Blade: Xiphos.
  • Resonance Points: 25 total, including both visible pickups and combat rewards.

Use the Artefact guide and Charm guide to repair a named normal collectible later. Do not assume replayed Resonance Points will merge into the later save; the 165-point guide explains the save-state rule.

Return to the 14-chapter overview after Parallel Paths, or use the all Blades guide if Xiphos did not register. The skills and Masteries guide helps spend the large point pool gathered by this stage of the campaign.

Objective order, mast alignment, notebook navigation, stela sequence, gemstone mapping, Xiphos solution, collectibles, and Light Concentrate route were cross-checked on September 23, 2026 against an independent full chapter walkthrough, the chapter collectible route, and a complete playthrough timeline. This guide reorganizes those facts around the blockers players encounter in order.
